Sir Christopher Stone, Chief Education Officer, GEMS Education, said: “The new academic year brings an encouraging wave of fresh enthusiasm, as the first day is always an exciting time for students, teachers and parents. It’s fantastic to see our children running into school and racing into life.”

Returning students were eager to begin the new academic year as seen at GEMS Firstpoint School where the principal, teachers and staff welcomed both students and parents to another year of quality education.

Stephen Sharples, Principal of GEMS Firstpoint School, said:  “It is always a great pleasure to welcome back returning families and to see students refreshed and ready to learn and renew their friendships.  It is very special to see new students and watch as they make new friends and meet their teachers.  On behalf of all of the team at FirstPoint we look forward to serving our families in the coming year”.

Where newly opened GEMS Founders School Al Mizhar welcomed 1500 new students onto its campus, GEMS Wellington Academy, Al Khail, was also one of the many schools to open its doors to new students today.
