Capital University College, established as a leading institution of learning in the UAE since 1998, has embarked on the expansion of its programs with the launch of BSc (Hons) Computing. This 2 years program is in partnership with North Wales Business School, Glyndwr University, which is ranked #2 in the UK in education, along with being the most socially inclusive. Capital is rolling its intake of students for this new program with amenable methods of teaching where students can opt to be a part of an online class, have classroom sessions on the campus or choose the blended form of learning.
Capital launches this program in line with the ‘One Million Arab Coders’ initiative by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai as it seeks to train 100,000 coders, establish 1,000 digital companies that will go global, and increase start-up investments from AED1.5 billion to AED4 billion. Supporting this initiative, Capital University College aims to equip aspiring computer specialists with sought-after skills that are relevant, hands-on and has an industry approach to it.
Students graduating from this new program will receive a Level 5 Diploma in Information Technology from Qualifi, UK – Ofqual approved and BSc (Hons) Computing degree from North Wales Business School, Glyndwr University, UK. Students can successfully engage in a wide range of careers and positions in the computing industry, including, Network/database designer, Network/database manager, Web developer, Interactive multimedia roles, IT Support, IT Consultancy, E-commerce.
