The Arcadia Preparatory School Named Apple Distinguished School

The Arcadia Preparatory School is pleased to announce that it has been recognised as an Apple Distinguished School for 2018–2021 for its innovative and effective use of technology to enhance teaching and learning.

Apple Distinguished Schools are centres of innovation, leadership, and educational excellence that use Apple products to inspire creativity, collaboration, and critical thinking. They showcase innovative uses of technology in learning, teaching, and the school environment and have documented results of academic accomplishment.

“I am extremely proud of the commitment and vision of our board, school leadership, staff, students and parents to conceive, design and then implement a truly modern learning environment at The Arcadia Preparatory School. Our focus is on ensuring that learning and the learner are at the heart of all we do within our school. We believe that by developing an enriched and connected learning environment and by providing leading-edge technology to our teachers and pupils, we are able to move learning forward in innovative and challenging ways. The Apple Distinguished School status is a recognition of our desire to continually push boundaries, and I am very proud of the school’s achievement. Most importantly, we look forward to sharing our experiences and ideas with other schools and our motto of ‘nurture lifelong learning’ supports our desire to continually evolve and grow as a community of learners.” Graham Beale, Founding Principal.

The selection of The Arcadia Preparatory School as an Apple Distinguished School highlights our success as an innovative and compelling learning environment that engages students and provides tangible evidence of academic accomplishment. Our aim is to constantly innovate and push the boundaries with education and how we deliver our exciting curriculum. We promote critical thinking, communication, collaboration and creativity among our students and the use of Apple technology allows students to enhance these skills and their independence. Creating multimedia iBooks, collaborative video projects and using the iPads built-in accessibility features to help children access their learning, are just some examples of the initiatives The Arcadia Preparatory School have implemented.
